GAME AWARDS 2019: WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR

We’ve had a whole lot of epic action the Game Awards. Loads of world game premieres. It was all kicked off with the World premiere for Xbox Series X which said would Head of Xbox Phil Spencer “Lead us into the future”. We had a sneak peak at Theros: Beyond Death, Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance, Apex Legends Winter Express followed by an interaction with one of the legends themselves. We also saw premieres for Weird West, Magic Legends, Ghosts of Tsushima, and Gears Tactics.

Being an award ceremony, we’ve had a whole range of epic awards being given out. Disco Elysium kicked it off by winning the best narrative award. We then saw Bugha awarded as the best Esports player at just 17 years old. Best Audio design award went to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, best strategy game was Fire Emblem Three houses. Content creator of the year went to Shroud. Best game art went to Control who looked like they’d rather have stayed seated than get up for their award.  Best Sports/Racing game went to Crash team racing, best mobile game surprisingly went to COD mobile, and best ongoing game was again, surprisingly, Fortnite.

More epic awards and premieres to follow
